Compact in the USA

At the end of January 2018, the very first pressing line for Millettia Pinnatta tree seed processing was put into operation in Vero Beach, Florida.

This tree, also known as Pongamia, Indian beech or Karanja, comes originally from South and Southeast Asia. Especially because of its qualities of Pongam oil, it is grown worldwide today. Yellow-orange oil from the Pongamia seeds, sometimes called Pongamia nuts, contains triglycerides and fla- phyluses. It is used, for example, as an ingredient in biodiesel, insecticides and, after deodorization, as a part of skin cream for the treatment of skin diseases.

The installed Compact line in a reduced version contains one set in the FL 200 - FE 250 - FL 200 version. A storage is placed in the line and close to it is the cleaning of input raw material. The line is fully automated and controlled by the Farmet Intelligent Control.

The line itself is not unique. Unique is the processing of Pongama nuts. We have not come across with this raw material so far. Even so, we launched the line without any major problems and we reached a stable output of 250 kilograms per hour.

The customer was very much aware of the possibilities of our control system, including a fully automated technology raid. After launching the line, the client invited about 60 farmers and investors from around the world and showed them the possibilities of our technology in processing not only the above-mentioned raw materials. The client is also considering purchasing another Compact line for processing oil seeds by the end of 2018.
