Cultivator and fertilizer applicator Kultis is designed for cultivation and aeration of the spaces between the vegetation rows and simultaneously to application of liquid fertilizer into the plant root zone.

Cultivation of soil without damage of maize rows

The cultivator is structurally solved as half-carried with two operable support wheels. The working members are arrow shares attached to the shanks that are fixed to the frame through a parallel link hitch with a spring overload protection. Each ploughshare is guided by a support wheel and equipped with adjustable coulters on the sides for better soil separation and aeration. The cultivator is equipped with a central liquid fertilizer tank, pump, filtration, filling and distributions that deliver the fertilizer to the plant roots.

The weeding unit is sufficiently dimensioned even for heavy and rocky soils. The disk coulters on the sides of the ploughshare prevent plant damage and promote better soil separation and aeration in heavy soils without damaging the maize rows. The parallel link hitch with a support wheel and a protection spring allow tracing the surface of the land along the entire machine span.

Economic reasons for zone application of fertilizers – fast return on investment

The utilization of applied nitrogen in standard technologies is from 50 to 60%. Normally applied nutrition of maize and sunflower plants increases costs and is not efficient.
