Solids separators decrease the amount of solid particles in the pressed oil. These particles are a common in crude oil after the pressing process, but their removal ensures better filtration performance. For years, Farmet has studied the issue of crude oil processing. Based on our extensive experience we have developed two series of solids separators. The FSS series are screw-based. The oil, along with the solids, is moved by the screw shaft and seeps through the perforated walls of the separator, while solids are released at its end. The FCS series is based on the principle of sedimentation of the solids at the bottom of the separation tank. The sediment that has accumulated is then removed by blades.
