Unique extrusion pressing technology with the patented EP1 RECU SHAFT energy recovery system

20. 7. 2026
The EP1 RECU SHAFT technology is based on the mechanical processing of oilseeds using screw extruders and presses without the use of organic solvents (HEXANE FREE). This mechanical oilseed processing method is safe for human health and environmentally friendly. As a result, the technology is ideally suited for the production of Clean Label products, including Organic, GMO-Free, and Bio products.
Unique extrusion pressing technology with the patented EP1 RECU SHAFT energy recovery system

The offered single-stage extrusion and pressing technology consists of two main processes:

  • Extrusion – Mechanical and thermal treatment of oilseeds to maximize the release of oil from the seed cells, making the subsequent pressing process significantly more efficient. The extrusion line can also operate independently to produce extruded, non-pressed material. In the case of soybeans, this product is known as Full Fat Soy.

  • Pressing – Continuous oil extraction using Farmet FS series screw presses. After the oil has been extracted, the remaining product is a defatted extrudate. For soybeans, this product is known as Soybean Expeller (Cake).
Oilseed processing, and soybean processing in particular, is highly energy-intensive, with energy representing the largest operating cost. For this reason, maximizing energy efficiency is a key priority.

Our technology incorporates advanced heat recovery systems that significantly reduce overall energy consumption through efficient energy recuperation.

A prime example is our unique patented RECU SHAFT system, which recovers heat from both the extruder and the outlet and shaft of the screw press. This provides the optimum operational solution for larger presses, including the Farmet FS 1010 and FS 4022 models.
