The feed extruder FE 100 is the basic model. Despite its size, this extruder offers a range of applications for the use in feed production. The extruder can compress the material at high pressures and heat it up to a high temperature, which enables it for various feed-related applications.
The process of extrusion facilitates the removal of some anti-nutritional substances from the feed, a change in the texture, and the expansion and sterilization of the feed. In the applications for cattle and related animals, during extrusion, the amount of the by-pass protein increases, resulting in a tastier feed with a higher nutritional value.
We offer two versions of this model: one for dry extrusion, the other for wet extrusion.
The heart of the extruder is the working unit, which allows processing either in the “dry” or “wet” mode. It consists of chambers and a screw shaft with shear elements. The material inside is gradually compressed and heated. The working unit is followed by a shaft mounting, which is embedded into a rigid frame. Another component of the machine is the drive, which is powered by an electromotor, whose power output is optimized to cover a wide range of processed materials and to maintain economical operation at the same time. An integral part is a dosing conveyor, which is equipped with a continuous regulation of revolutions, facilitating a seamless, continuous supply of the material. The housing serves for elimination of dust particles, but also adds an aesthetical dimension to the whole machine.
Farmet offers optional accessories, which will satisfy even the most demanding customer’s needs. An integral part, the soul of the extruder, is the wiring, which is offered in three different versions. The version CLASSIC contains button-based controls of the individual drives and a control knob for revolutions of the supply conveyor (as well as controls for optional accessories). The wiring CLEVER consists of a PLC unit with a touch-based panel (HMI). The PLC is equipped with the FIC (Farmet Intelligent Control) system. The system contains a programme for smart regulation of extrusion (EXTRUSION EFFECT CONTROL) and thus facilitates optimization of the extrusion process with respect to the properties of extruded material. Furthermore, it regulates automatic feedbacks within the system to ensure protection of the drives and working parts of the extruder. The wiring CLEVER MAX has the same functions as the previous version, expanded by a frequency converter of the main drive of the extruder. This brings a whole new range of possibilities for optimization of the extrusion process.

The extruder FE 100 is suitable for small capacities, reaches a performance between 2.2 and 4.8 tons per day. The design routinely meets EU specifications; however, it can be adjusted to wiring requirements from local markets (e.g. USA, Canada, etc.). The wiring is offered in three versions and always includes a frequency converter for the supply conveyor. The extruder can be equipped with a converter for changing revolutions of the main drive, which allows further optimization of the extrusion process. The extruder is equipped with an electromotor with a power output of 15 kW.
