Proper seed preparation is vital for high effectiveness of subsequent processes.

Seed cleaning is a very important step in oilseed processing. It serves as a protection for technological equipment, increases service life of wearable parts and, last but not least, leads to better performance of the pressing process.

Seed cleaning as provided by Farmet, is a complex, modular system. We will devise optimal solution for any particular conditions (e.g. seed type, storing conditions).

The first cleaning module is the initial aspiration. This process removes dust particles and heavier objects, such as straws, loose hulls, etc.

The second module is the vibration cleaner with an additional aspiration step. This machine is reliable and has a long service life thanks to its robust design. Furthermore, its energetic demands are low and the screens can be easily exchanged. Cleaning with the use of vibration screens is a powerful and efficient way to remove impurities. Due to its principle, however, it cannot remove impurities of similar size as the seeds.

That is a task for the third module, the destoner. This equipment is based on the principle of different densities of seeds and stones and can remove heavier impurities, such as stones and grains of sand, similar in size to the processed seeds.
