The counter current-based coolers FCHP serve to cool and dry press cakes or extrudate down to ambient levels. These machines use a highly-efficient counter-current system, where air flow is used to cool the material. They are designed to minimize the costs of maintenance and operation. The cooled material falls in through an airtight entry into the upper part of the equipment. The material is then evenly spread across the cooling screen. Cold air flows through the layer of the material. When optimal moisture and temperature are reached, the material falls through the screen into a hopper placed below the cooler and then is transported away for further processing.
